TUCKER AND LEXIE

Barb,

I had to send you a picture of my two beautiful dogs, they "turn heads" wherever we go. They have become best "buddies" and fill my life with lots love and happiness. Having two goldens is a dream come true and I would highly recommend it.

MOXIE

Hi Barb - First, congrats on being a Grandma x 2.

It's been a while since I sent you a picture of Moxie. The attached picture was taken Easter evening. As you can see, she makes herself "right at home". Her fur is getting long and I swear she is still growing...although she is still hanging around 75 - 77 lbs. She is taken for walks each morning and evening. It's amazing how excited she gets when we go. Enjoy!!!

CROSBY

Hi Barb,

Crosby is still the center of our world. He is maturing into such a sensitive, kind and wonderful big boy. His puppy exuberance is waning a little bit but his joyful social personality continues to grow. He’s about 95 lbs now and I could not be happier that we’ve waited to neuter him as his physique has changed so dramatically in just the past three months. He has the look of a quintessential classic Golden with his broad chest and proud posture, and he continues to draw stares and stop folks in their tracks! He is very protective of us but behind his manly voice he’s a total lover of everyone. I wanted to send you an updated picture and the boys voted for the one attached. I wonder how many Rolling Oaks Goldens are hockey dogs?! Crosby is a pro at “shagging pucks” and interrupting the boys’ passes. When he is “benched” for interference, he pouts admirably at the back door until the boys cave in and let him back out on the rink. He is never one to miss out on the action!

BUCK

Hi Barb,
I thought I would send you a link to our online photo album, lots of photos of Buck. We don't usually get a lot of snow in Santa Fe, but we have had about 12 inches in Dec. Buck loves it! I just wonder where that little ball of fur went - he has grown up so fast!

Our puppy Ruby is doing wonderfully!! she is very relaxed and yet very curious and playful. Already she loves to retrieve and follows us everywhere. Today we went to our vet and of course they loved her. they are so impressed with your socialization work. It makes SUCH a difference. She is so well balanced. We will do all we can to continue your teaching. She is content and sleeps through the night easily. She loves our older dog Trea and he is super with her! As you mentioned, we did need to treat for the parasite and that is no big deal. As you can see she is now a boat dog!

While we were swimming, another dog at the lake came over to see what all the excitement was about. The puppies were not at all intimidated by him.

MOXIE AT 2 YRS.

This is Moxie, Ruby/Lochnivar puppy and an update from her owner.

Hi Barb -
I wanted to send you an updated picture of Moxie. She'll be 2 this Sunday. As you can see, she has become a beautiful young lady. She is so full of energy and loves life. We could not have gotten a better dog. When were up at the lake, she immediately goes swimming...she loves it. She loves to be able to just run free up there. I know she gets "sad" when it's time to go home but we're trying to get up there as much as possible.

Hi Barb and Russ. Thanks so much for the remarkable transformation of our dog Tia (from Ruby and Captains November 2007 litter)! Our whole family is so pleased. Not only does she know all her stuff now, but seems happier for it. We can walk, run, play with her on a whole different level. We are impressed at how far you took her in such a short time. And the DVD of her training sessions is so useful. We could see all the time and love you put into getting her to where she's at and now we can mimic your training style. Our neighbor boys who help walk her are viewing it so they can be on the same page as we are. Thanks for the unexpected extras - running w/ bike and teaching her to fetch!

RRUBY HAD HER PUPPIES!

Ruby gave birth to 12 beautiful puppies on Saturday! We have six boys and six girls. Mom and babies are doing well!

AN UPDATE FROM ROLLING OAKS

This is a photo of two grown Rolling Oaks puppies, celebrating the fourth of July!

For those of you waiting to hear about puppies, Ruby is VERY ready to have her babies any minute now. Her due date was yesterday. She is enjoying the air-conditioning in the house! Jasmine is also pregnant and due in two weeks. It looks like both moms are going to have large litters, so I believe there are still puppies available in Jasmine's litter. As soon as the babies are here, I will announce it!

PUPPIES

Today was the second outing for Ruby/Captains litter. Yesterday they went to the vet for their health check and first set of shots, and today they went to our nieces to play with her children. They liked today's visit the best!

RUBY'S PUPPIES!!!

Ruby had her puppies November 6! She has 9 girls, 2 boys! This litter will be going to their new homes close to Christmas! Mom and babies are doing great!

MOXIE UPDATE

This is Moxie, a 7 month old Rolling Oaks Golden. You might remember a photo of Moxie from a posting back in December 2006 when she was a puppy.

This photo was sent by one of our clients. Moxie is from the August litter Ruby/Lochinvar. She gets lots of romps in the woods. For those of you waiting for Maddie's puppies...we are still waiting! She is very pregnant, but comfortable. As soon as the babies are born, I will post it!

WE HAVE EZRA!

Many of you ask if we miss the puppies after they are all gone. We kept a puppy from the Loch/Ruby litter and named her Ezra. She is such a sweet puppy and loves playing with Amy. For me personally, I am relieved that all the puppies are in their homes, and being loved and trained by all the great people who took them home! It gives me time to do the things around the farm that don't get done when we have puppies. Today, Russ and I took a long walk in the woods with Jasmine, one of our dogs, and enjoyed our freedom! When we got back, Amy was playing with Ezra, and wanted an underdog on the swing. As I pushed her and played, I couldn't help but be thankful for her life. When she had leukemia, Amy was still in the hospital, and had no hair or eye lashes, the doctor had given me a very grave report. I was holding her limp body in my arms and rocking her, and I wanted to give up. I was tired of fighting. Tired of hospitals and tubes and bad reports. My sister Joanie happened to call, and as I explained what the doctor had said, she told me to see Amy healed. To imagine her swinging on the swing, with her hair flowing in the wind. Not in the casket. Don't see death, see life! I hung up and I made up my mind that Amy was going to live. I started singing happy praise songs and seeing in my mind that she was well. She didn't get well instantly, but she did get well. One day about a year later I looked out the window, and there was Amy, swinging on the swing, her hair flowing in the wind. I cried tears of joy. Today I had that same feeling...so thankful for life. We all get busy and forget what really matters. It is my hope that our puppies bring joy into the lives of their new owners. That they remind us of that care free innocence only a puppy or child can bring. See life!
