VISITING LITCHFIELD PROWORKS

I took Ivy's litter to ProWorks yesterday. ProWorks is a place for adults with special needs. It is so rewarding to see the reaction on everyone's face when they see/touch a puppy!

ONE OF MADDIE'S PUPPIES
FEBRUARY LITTER
If you are submitting a puppy application now, we have two male puppies available from Rose/Banner. These little guys will be ready for their new homes Feb. 18. We will have spring litters, hopefully between Jasmine and Captain, Zena and Banner. I will know more in a few weeks to see if the two females come into their heat cycle. When I call you for the phone interview, we can discuss the timing that is right for you, along with availability.

We spend a tremendous amount of time with each puppy individually, from the day they are born until they are 7 weeks old. Puppies are introduced to a crate for potty training, taken on at least 6 car rides to nursing homes, schools, day care, etc. We do temperament tests to determine the puppy’s personality, and at 7 weeks match puppy to owner.

All of our breeding dogs have their hips, elbow, eye and heart certified. We are breeding for the standard golden. Average adult weight for females is 65 lbs., males 75lbs.

If you are interested in obtaining a Rolling Oaks Golden, please fill out the puppy application and return it. We will call you for an extensive phone interview within two weeks. If we feel comfortable placing a puppy in your home, and you feel comfortable with us as breeders, you would send a deposit of $300.00, which guarantees you the next available puppy. We sell our companion puppies for $1500.00 for male or female. Our puppies are sold with a health guarantee, and spay/neuter contract. Deposit is non-refundable and should only be sent after the phone interview. Once your litter is born, we will post a photo on the blog each week of the so you can watch the puppies grow and develop. At 5 weeks you come out for a visit, and meet the parents & we discuss the personality & characteristics of the puppy you are hoping for. Then at 7 weeks you come back and pick your puppy up!
CLIENT TESTIMONY: SPORT
Above is a photo of Sport during a recent hunt in South Dakota. She did a fantastic job. She flushed a lot of birds, retrieved a not of Roosters, and ran down cripples in heavy cover for up to 200 yards before retrieving them to hand. (not bad for a 17 month old pup!)

Sport never ranged more than thirty yards in front of me and would stop on a dime. (Actually one toot of the whistle) She also learned not to chase Jack rabbits after only 2 rabbits.

On Christmas Eve morning three hunters shot three Minnesota Roosters and Sport retrieved all three ring necks despite having two other dogs in the field (This was my Christmas Present!!)
Sport is also a great family dog and very obedient. Lily, our three and one-half year old daughter, feeds Sport every day and Sport obeys all of Lily's commands.

Thanks again for breeding a wonderful line of Goldens. Let me know if any of your prospective clients need a reference for a GREAT HUNTING DOG. I'd be glad to fill them in on the details. Happy New Years!

We had my family Christmas party on Saturday. I am the youngest of 8 so when all of us get together, there are 90! We didn't get home till after midnight. It was so much work, but worth every minute to have all of us together, and catch up on everyone's life! Daniel brought Maddie's puppies in the evening, and of course they were a big hit. Keeping a family of our size in touch is not easy, but since my Dad died when I was very young, I have learned the importance of family, and the love a family shares. When you go off to college and meet new friends, as you grow and change, your friends move away and you lose touch...but no matter where your sister moves, you stay in touch, because she will always be your sister. My sisters are some of my best friends. No family is perfect, but looking past the differences and enjoying each person for who they are is what matters.
Maddie's taking a little break from all the people.

Amy enjoying every minute!

These are my three sisters...all of us are Grandmas!! These are all of our newest grandchildren.

Jack is a great puppy holder! Three at a time!
