This is Samuel, our first grandson. Amy adores him, and as he grows, he will become famous on our website! This week end he experienced his first puppy lick on his toes, and we all agreed that he loved it! When Samuel is here, we almost have to set a timer so everyone gets a fair chance to hold him. Of course Grandma gets extra time!!
Between delivering puppies, our son David graduated from Bethel college on May 27. He bought this truck to haul his ladders for his window cleaning business, or so he says. I don't see any ladder racks! I think it will be used more to haul geese decoys this fall! We are very proud of David. He is our third child to graduate from a four year college. Our two son-in-laws have also graduated from college. We feel very blessed to have witness these trials and triumphs in our children's lives.
As we celebrated Memorial Day, Zena decided to have her puppies! She gave birth to 8 puppies, but one of the girls did not live, so we have 2 girls and 5 boys. This is a photo of the puppies when they were just a few hours old. We will be contacting those of you who have sent a deposit and discussing visiting times and pick-up dates. The seven are doing great, and Mom is resting.

It's been a busy time lately at Rolling Oaks Goldens! Announcing the birth of Rose's litter, born May 20. Two girls, Two boys. The following photos are of the four beautiful puppies, and the wonderful puppy holders that come and help us at Rolling Oaks.

May 29th Update:
The Next Litter Expected in August
If you are submitting a puppy aplpication now, the next available litter will be born around August, and ready to go to their new homes in October. (Sorry if there has been some confusion for those of you who are expecting puppies from the litters born this month!)
We spend a tremendous amount of time with each puppy individually, from the day they are born until they are 7 weeks old. Puppies are introduced to a crate for potty training, taken on at least 6 car rides to nursing homes, schools, day care, etc. We do temperament tests to determine the puppy’s personality, and at 7 weeks match puppy to owner.
All of our breeding dogs have their hips, elbow, eye and heart certified. We are breeding for the standard golden. Average adult weight for females is 65 lbs., males 75lbs.

Hi Barb!
I took this picture of Cameron the other night, and thought I’d send you a copy. He is doing well here. We are so happy with him – he is the most wonderful dog. He looks a little shaggy, but he is on his way to the groomer as I’m typing this. I’m told that he’s their favorite golden. I believe it, too. Everyone goes nuts when he is at the vet’s office. He gets more treats while he’s there than he does here at home.
Maddie and Ben absolutely love him. Maddie is 2 ½ now and has chosen to call him “pear” instead of Cameron. The funny thing is that he answers to it. It is so cute. She will give him commands like, “up, move, or come” and he obeys. What a good dog! He even lets her give him check-ups with her doctor kit. Ben just turned a year old on the 18th. Ben thinks Cameron is the funniest thing he has ever seen. It is almost a guarantee that Cameron will get Ben laughing at least once a day. Cameron lets Ben give him love pats, and climb on him. He wags his tail the whole time. Another cute Cameron story, is that he loves our play system from Crown of Minnesota. It has a ramp up to the slide and two forts on top. He runs up the ramp and looks out over his kingdom from one fort or the other. Then when he sees we are about to go down the slide, he tears down the ramp, runs to the slide, and puts his front paws up on the side of the slide almost like he is encouraging the kids “come on, you can do it.” We have to get a picture of that. If so, I’ll send you one.
I hope all is well with you and your family. I check out your website from time to time, just to see if there is anything new on it. I wanted to give you an update on Cameron, and let you know how happy we are that we have him in our lives. You do such a wonderful job with your dogs!
Take Care,
Sara Fults
